Paraphrenia?.. what is that
Tonight I received a request to copy and paste a post on Facebook about dementia. I did so and then then the thought, hold on Bannister, tell the truth. Dementia is far worse than this post describes, for families, for me, it was horrid. I watched my dad slip away for many years. From his inability to tell day from night, to his recollection of eating and sadly forgetting his grandchildren. Heck, I recall the Christmas we visited and he asked who the boys were, when I explained his grandchildren were visiting, his reaction ..... you got married... you never asked! But now we have a different challenge, a mother with paraphrenia. I have posted this before . Ha ha I just got a spellcheck on paraphrenia?..... that’s how well it is known. Boy is it a challenge.
